Grand Bahama police arrested 20 people found in violation of the Emergency Powers.

According to authorities, three men, one of them allegedly found selling alcohol from his home, were arrested in Eight Mile Rock.

Officers picked up another four people in the Central area for reportedly operating a barber shop during lockdown and another for drug possession.

On Sunday, police spotted a man driving just before 11:00am.

However, when the driver saw patrolling officers, he sped off, losing control, eventually crashing into bushes in the area of Midshipman Road.

The man was reportedly seen by a doctor. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening, despite his vehicle being extensively damaged.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned in connection with the incident.

Over in McClean’s Town, authorities discovered that several vessels entering the docking area were not adhering to social distancing and the wearing of masks. They too will face a magistrate.
