Parliamentarians started the year off with a church service marking the first session of parliament for 2018.  The Bahamas Christian Council arranged the event delivering a charge during the service at the Church of God Cathedral on East Sst. and Lily of the Valley Corner. Christian Council President, Bishop Delton Fernander likened the country to a three strand chord, government opposition, and church that should work together for its progress.   Fernander also told parliamentarians to shun divisiveness.
