Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, the Hon. Michael Pintard addressed the opening session of the 2018 National Junkanoo Conclave held and the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium on February 15, 2018. The three-day conclave brought together Junkanoo leaders, representatives and stakeholders from throughout The Bahamas to voice their concerns, learn about new initiatives and chart the way forward for the Bahamian art form. A week-long Junkanoo festival at the end of the year is being considered, rather than have just two parades.
