Minister Pintard Officially Opens Flow Carifta Games Bahamas 2018


Affirming the unity and “family” of all athletes present, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Michael Pintard officially declared the Flow Carifta Games Bahamas 2018 open, on March 30, 2018, at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium.  Prime Minister of The Bahamas Dr. the Hon. Hubert Minnis and his wife, Patricia, and Deputy Prime Minister Peter Turnquest and his wife, Sonia, were also on hand, along with several senior Government officials, international representatives and hundreds of fans, to cheer on the athletes from the 28 countries represented.  Among those bringing official remarks were International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) President Lord Sebastian Coe; North America, Central America and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) President Victor Lopez; Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations (BAAA) President Rosamunde Carey; President, Flow Caribbean Garfield Sinclair; and Brian Nottage — the son of the late Dr. Bernard J.
