ALIV is pleased to announce that it continues its Family Island rollout expansion with San Salvador and Cat Island. ALIV officially launched its superior network with a brand-new store located in Cockburn Town, San Salvador and Smith’s Bay, Cat Island. Prior to the soft launches held on May 30th and May 31 st respectively, ALIV executives, staff, and members of the community were invited to an official reception at the Sands Hotel in San Salvador. Chief ALIV Officer(CAO) Damian Blackburn who brought brief remarks said ALIV remains committed to quickly delivering on its mandate to provide superior products and customer service throughout the entire Bahamas. “I’m the kind of guy who does not let people down and anybody using the ALIV network in San Salvador and [tomorrow] in Cat Island and comparing it with the ALIV network in all the other islands will agree with me that it’s the same. We make good on our promises and I promised you the last time I was in San Salvador that we will be in your community and support your initiatives and we will also make good on that,” he said. “To the ALIV team here on the ground and those not here I want to say well done, it’s an incredible achievement to launch on more islands.” The Member of Parliament for both islands, Philip ‘Brave’ Davis, who brought remarks shared sentiments of joy and appreciation for what ALIV has offered to residents there and what ALIV plans to do in the future.

“The journey of ALIV has been a long one and I am happy that I was a part of it with them. The entrance of ALIV in the communications market came from the desire to ensure that the Bahamian people have a choice of service and this is not just in The Bahamas, but something mandated by international treaties,” he said. “This was a long and arduous task, but I was happy to ensure that true competition really is alive to the Bahamian people. ALIV is on the way to being the best because ALIV believes in best. Wherever a Bahamian citizen resides, ALIV’s service will be great so if I am in San Salvador, my service will be just as good as if I am in Lyford Cay, Nassau.” Also, in attendance at the cocktail reception in San Salvador was ALIV’s Central Bahamas General Manager Carl Momplaisir, Chief ALIV Solutions Architect Dwayne Davis, San Salvador Island Administrator Samuel Miller and Pastor Nathaniel Walker. ALIV was also the title sponsor for Cat Island’s Rake n’ Scrape festival that occurred on the island this past holiday weekend. ALIV currently has retail stores and authorized dealers on the islands of New Providence, Grand Bahama, Abaco, Eleuthera, Bimini, Andros, Exuma, Long Island, San Salvador and Cat Island with a total of just over 200 towers throughout these islands. Through national roaming, however, ALIV subscribers can use their devices throughout the country. The next islands for ALIV to launch it will be those in the MICAL constituency. It is hoped that ALIV will have launched in all the major Family Islands and throughout the entire Bahamas by mid-summer 2018.
