Flamingo Air charter launches its new air ambulance service. The medical emergency aircraft is equipped to respond to emergencies throughout The Bahamas. It is Bahamian owned and operated and ready to fly persons to the capital who are in need of urgent medical treatment. Flamingo Air CEO Captain Raymond Meadows says the air ambulance costs approximately $1 million and can fly to Family Islands with proper runways and lighting.
Attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony was Minister of Tourism and Aviation Dionisio D’aguilar – who says the new air ambulance is a plus for the tourism industry and gives the island destinations another feature to offer – that benefits tourists and Bahamians.
