Illegal firearms recovered

The enduring and dedicated work of the men and women of the Royal Bahamas Police Force in partnership with members of the public has led to two illegal firearms being recovered from the streets of New Providence, in two separate incidents, Friday, 31st August 2018. In the first incident, according to reports, shortly after 9:00pm, Drug Enforcement Officers, acting on information, went to Ameryllius Avenue, Garden Hills, where they conducted a search of a building on a park and recovered a .9 millimeter pistol and three (3) rounds of ammunition.

In the second incident, according to reports, shortly before 10:00pm, Southeastern Division Officers acting on information, went to Daisy Lane, Garden Hills, conducted a search of a property and recovered a .38 Revolver. No arrests were made in these matter. Investigations are ongoing.
