Ms. Brennamae Rolle-Cooper, a trained Social Worker with the Department of Social Services, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Sidney Collie, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States and Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS), on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at the Embassy of The Bahamas, 2220 Massachusetts Avenue, N.W.

A native of East Grand Bahama, Ms. Rolle-Cooper is currently the Supervisor/Center Manager for the Department of Social Services in Eight Mile Rock, Grand Bahama. In addition to being a Social Worker, Ms. Rolle-Cooper is also the founder of a mentorship and empowerment organization called Vessels of Purpose Elite, which empowers girls to lead and fulfill their purpose.

Ms. Rolle-Cooper is currently in Washington D.C. attending an International Leadership Programme Conference for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) hosted by The U.S. Department of State.

In addition to Washington, D.C., during this 15-day conference participants will travel to Texas, Montana, and Pennsylvania, where they will learn about the important role NGOs play in the US and how they fit into the US system of governance. This programme will also teach these emerging leaders how to create a structure for their programmes and ways to access international funding.
