Plane Crash leaves two persons missing


Police are investigating a plane crash that has left two persons missing, on Thursday, November 8th,2018. Reports are that shortly after 8:00pm, Police on New Providence received reports from Air Traffic Control stating that a plane had disappeared from the radar in the area of Nirvana Beach. It is believed that the plane crashed in waters nearby after the Pilot had reported that the door to the aircraft had flown open.


Further reports are that the aircraft, a PA-27 six-seater, registration #N8383C, left Lantana Airport, West Palm Beach, Florida, with two persons on board. Search and Rescue teams from The Royal Bahamas Police, The Royal Bahamas Defense Force and BASRA located the aircraft and efforts to locate the survivors are being continued. Police and the Department of Civil Aviation will continue investigations into this incident.
