Ellison Hanna and the Indiana State was selected as the no. 2 overall seed Vanderbilt Commodores. The Sycamores open postseason against No. 3 seed McNeese. BJ Murray and Florida Atlantic getting an at large bid for the fourth time in five years – and fifth in seven – the Florida Atlantic University baseball team is bound for the NCAA Tournament. The Owls head to Athens, Georgia, for a regional hosted by the national No. 4 seed University of Georgia, and will take on Florida State.

Five Bahamians have booked their tickets to the NCAA outdoor track and field nationals June 5 – 8 in Austin, Texas leading the way is Purdue’s Samson Colebrooke who will be in three events. Running the 2nd fastest time in school history the Jr clocked 20.46 in the deuce, led the Boilermakers to the win the 4×1 in 38.75 and ran on the school’s mile relay team that finished 6th in 3:05.43. His teammate Tamar Greene will also be a part of the 4×1 and will contest the triple jump where he hopped to 4th 52-6.

Liberty’s Denzel Pratt was 5th in the javelin with a toss of 221-5 and high jumper Jyles Ettiene will also be there after finishing 10 with a clearance of 7-2 1/4. Doniesha Anderson will be part of the Florida Gators mile relay team after they were 10th in 3:3.49.

Bahamas aquatics federation naming a 23 member team for the CCAN swimming championships June 28 through July 2 in Barbados. 10 females and 13 males.

Females – Kaliyah Alburt, Celia Campbell, Devin Cuffy-Bethel, Rhanishka Gibbs, Jamilah Hepburn, Rachel Lundy, Delany Mizell, Keianna Moss, Giann Sands and Ariel Weech.

Males – Amuri Bonamy, Devante Carey, Tristin Ferguson, Nigel Forbes, Gershwin Greene, Marvin Johnson, Kohen Kerr, Peter Morley, Ian Pinder, William Russell, Kierro Stubbs, Lamar Taylor and Erald Thompson.
