Minister of Youth, Sports, and Culture, the Hon. Lanisha T. Rolle (centre) launched the Ministry’s yearly National Youth Summer Employment Programme and Summer Camp Programme, May 30, 2019 in a press conference at the Ministry. The summer employment programme provides an opportunity for young people to work within various government ministries, gaining first-hand knowledge that can enhance their preparation for the work force. The summer camp programme, held at various government schools, helps to build skills in a fun-filled atmosphere and this year features Dance Workshop, Drum Workshop, Theatre Performance and Dramatic Writing, Choral, Film and Junkanoo workshops, Piano, Photography and Band workshops — during the month of July for children up to the age of 15 years.
