Tureano Johnson dropped to the canvas to perform press-ups in a show of flash after handing Jason Quigley the first defeat of his pro career overnight in California. The Donegal man relinquished his NABF middleweight strap as his trainer, Dominic Ingle, called a halt to the bout after nine rounds at Fantasy Springs. Johnson defeated Ireland’s Jason Quigley via a 9th round stoppage in the 10-round main event of the Golden Boy DAZN Thursday Night Fights at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California.Johnson will get a top-ten WBC ranking and the Bahamian will now be in world title contention once more.
