Bahamian sharp shooter Buddy Hield has tested positive for COVID-19.
It is unknown where the 27-year-old may have contracted the virus; however, earlier this month, he played in the Skinz League Tournament in Oklahoma in a gym crowded with fans not wearing protective face masks.
News of Hield’s positive testing comes less than two hours after Sacramento Kings power forward Jabari Parker and his teammate Alex Lenn suffered the same fate.
Hield, an important piece to the King’s puzzle, will have to spend at least 14 days quarantine.
These new cases bring the number the NBA players to have tested positive within the last week to five.
Last week, Indiana Pacers Malcolm Brogdon and Denver Nuggets Nikola Jokic also tested positive.
