The Saxons Superstars and the Fancy Dancers were announced the winners of the A and B Divisions of the 2024 Boxing Day Junkanoo Parade.  The results were announced by the JCNP Parade Management Team at a press event held on Wednesday after the completion of the parade.

 JCNP Parade Management Team Chairman, Anthen Mortimer announced the results for the A Division.  “In seventh position with a score of  34.87, the Prodigal Sons.  In sixth position with a score of 59.55, Music Makers.  In fifth position with a score of 84.32, Genesis.  In fourth position with a score of 86.65, One Family.  In third position with a score of 86.87, The Valley Boys.  In second place with a score of 88.70, Roots and the winner of your 2024 Boxing Day Parade with a score of 92.06, Saxons.”

The results of the B Division were announced by JCNP Deputy Chairman, Adrian Laroda.  He said, “in fifth position with a score of 57.41 points, Dynasty.  In fourth position with a score of 62.20 points, Conquerors For Christ.  In third position with a score of 71.70 points, The Immortals.  In second position with a score of  80.45 points Colours and the winner of the overall categories in the B Division for the 2024 Boxing Day Parade with a score of 80.57 points, Fancy Dancers.

Laroda also addressed concerns about the parade including the gaps between groups.  He said, “last night we had some groups that came out of turn and because of that we had to move up other groups in their place and with that being said according to the rules of the JCNP we had to give those groups some additional time to be able to mobilize to be able to come to the starting gate.”

The New Year’s Day Junkanoo Parade will be held on January 1st.
