The National Junkanoo Committee announced the results of the 2026 New Year’s Junkanoo parade on Thursday afternoon.
Parade Management Team Chairman, Douglas Hanna listed the numbers of the A groups for reporters. He said, “in seventh place after being assessed three penalty points, with 390 points Music Makers. In sixth place after being assessed sixty three penalty points, 446 points, Valley Boys. In fifth place with 531 points, Genesis Warhawks. In fourth place with 533 points after being assessed one point, World Famous Valley Boys. In third place with 539 points Roots. In second place, overall scores, with 566 points, Shell Saxon Superstars.”
Hanna announced the One Family Junkanoo Group as the winners of the Parade with 594 points after being deducted two penalty points. The group also won the 2025 Boxing Day Parade. The last time One Family earned the top spot was at the New Year’s Day Parade in 2023.
The B category was won by Colours Junkanoo Group, followed by the Immortals in second the Fancy Dancers in third place.
Both the 2025 Boxing Day and 2026 New Years Day were no disqualification parades.
