Member of Parliament for Central and South Abaco, the Hon. John Pinder recently commented on the need for more hotel and housing options on the island of Abaco as demand increases.

Pinder who also serves as Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Investment and Aviation said, “what we do need are hotels.  We need more places, more accommodations for our friends from abroad, our tourism guests to come and stay with us.”

The Member of Parliament said that boutique hotels are preferred. “The Great Abaco Beach Resort where we’re at here today.  I believe it’s about a 90-95 room hotel.  We need something like this again.  We like boutique hotels.  We don’t want any major resorts but the boutique hotels can be more in connect with the communities and it just goes along with what Abaco has to offer.”

Pinder encouraged investors to come to Abaco and build hotels in different price ranges.
