BFSB and the insurance commission of The Bahamas attend 2020 World Captive Forum

The Bahamas Financial Services Board was a sponsor of the 2020 World Captive Forum held at the JW Marriott Turnberry Miami Resort in Florida on January 27-29. The event was attended by BFSB along with representatives of The Insurance Commission of The Bahamas. The World Captive Forum brought together over two-hundred delegates, comprised of the leading providers of captive services, including captive management, legal, accounting, actuarial, claims, asset management as well ass numerous regulators and representatives from major domiciles around the world. The World Captive Forum is a domicile neutral conference that addresses new and emerging risks facing global companies and organizations, demonstrating how captives can offer viable insurance coverage that may not be available in the traditional insurance marketplace. The conference covered topics such as:

BFSB’s attendance at The World Captive Forum was aimed at showcasing the ‘captivating’ advantages of The Bahamas for external insurance”. BFSB continues to ensure that there is a greater awareness of The Bahamas as an international financial centre committed to international best practices.
