Police are left piecing together the circumstances surrounding the country’s latest homicide after a man was found dead at the western end of St. Joseph’s Cemetery early Tuesday morning.
According to Police Press Liaison Office, Assistant Superintendent Audley Peters, a man was walking through the graveyard when he discovered a male lying face down with severe injuries.
“It appears the incident may have happened overnight. It appears the victim was in his early to mid-40s,” ASP Peters told reporters on the scene, ahead of his appeal to for anyone with information that can assist in solving this latest crime to call the nearest police station.
Tuesday’s discovery comes on the heels of a fatal shooting in Nassau Village Sunday evening.
