Superclub Breezes one of the few hotel properties reopening its doors yesterday after months of no occupancy due to the global health crisis.
Managing Director Muna Issa acknowledged that things have started slowly with the Cable Beach resort slated to welcome just four guests on Tuesday.
“We’re opening things pick up by the end of the month,” Ms. Issa told ZNS News.
As required, Breezes staff has had extensive training to prepare for its reopening. There is also pre-screening for employees.
“We’ve had to redo our whole entertainment programme because there are certain games you cannot do without touching someone, so we’re going to have a lot of trivia, dance class, water aerobics, volleyball in the pool and we’re very lucky to be able to have walks on the beach,” the managing director.
Breezes’ reopening comes a day after Baha Mar made “the difficult decision” to reduce staff levels to “align with business projections” at its multi-billion-dollar resort.
Meantime, Atlantis has opted to shift its reopening date from July 7th to July 30th.
