Colonial Group International closes Bahamas offices due to Government Curfew

In response to COVID-19, Atlantic Medical (Health & Life) Insurance, Security & General Insurance, Colonial Pensions and NIBA— part of Colonial Group International (CGI)—have closed their offices on New Providence and Grand Bahama. All employees will work remotely until March 31. This action was taken in response to a mandatory curfew imposed by The Bahamas Government. The group of companies cites the health and wellbeing of employees, their families and the community as a primary reason for the closure. Each company has initiated protocols to ensure that effective service is rendered at this time.

“We’ve prepared for this situation and are confident that we can continue working with our clients with minimal disruption,” said Naz Farrow, CGI CEO. “That said, we’re mindful that there may be unanticipated interruptions during this time and ask for your understanding. We’re open for business and confident in our ability to operate during this time. We are already managing customers’ claims and we are here to support you through this difficult time.” CGI’s companies are available via telephone or online.
