CORNÈR BANK rings in the Holidays with the Salvation Army

“Giving back to the community of which we are a part is an important part of our culture at Cornèr Bank,” shared Christine Russell, Chief Executive Officer for Cornèr Bank. Mrs. Russell recently led a team of employee volunteers in supporting The Salvation Army’s Annual Christmas Kettle Appeal. The Bank also made a donation to The Salvation Army’s 2021 drive.

The sound of the Salvation Army bells is synonymous with the holiday season and the donations received are vital to the organization’s ongoing community outreach. According to Major Roodolph Meo, Divisional Commander for the Salvation Army, “The familiar red kettles at Christmas time help to raise much needed funds to provide special meals for needy individuals and families, toys and clothing for disadvantaged children, personal care products for the elderly and institutionalized, and so much more.”

The Cornèr Bank volunteers recently managed a bell ringing station at Harbour Bay Shopping Centre, sharing smiles and holiday cheer with the public. In addition to giving back through The Salvation Army, the Bank is also donating meal boxes to families in need during this festive season.
