Bimini got a late start to its two-week lockdown Monday evening.
Island Administrator Cleola Pinder said that was due to the boat arriving late out of Grand Bahama with much needed supplies for residents.
“The boat came in at 8:00pm with a lot of freight on it. So, we got permission for persons to get the freight, which was a relief…About 10:30pm persons had received their packages and we’re back home,” she said.
Deemed a COVID-19 hotspot, Bimini’s lockdown is slated to end midnight on May 30th.
