Grand Bahama today starts another long stretch of a national lockdown after its initial two weeks were extended.
As a minimum, the movement of Bahamians and residents have then been restricted until August 19th at 5:00am.
Grand Bahama’s continued lockdown comes in the wake of the island confirming 300 plus COVID-19 cases within weeks.
In making the announcement, State Minister for Grand Bahama, Senator Kwasi Thompson admonished residents to adhere to the protocols to stop the spread the disease which, up to posting, had already reached the 19 million mark.
