Police held a press conference on Monday where it was revealed that Chris Ferguson of Misty Close  has been charged with the murder of twelve year old Adriel Moxey.  Moxey’s lifeless body was found in bushes off a track road near Faith Avenue in November.

Ferguson is also suspected in relation to other killings. Officer In Charge of the Central Investigation Department, Chief Superintendent Anton Rahming told reporters, “at this time there is insufficient for us to charge him with those matters however we’ll be continuing our investigations into those matters and hopefully in a short time we’ll be able to bring about some conclusion as it relates to those investigations.”

It is reported that Ferguson confessed to the other incidents which occurred in Grand Bahama.  Chief Superintendent Rahming said, “there is no confession that can precisely say that we are able at this time to charge.  There is information and so we’ll continue to work with that information to build on our evidence so that we can determine whether we’ll be able to charge that individual.”

According to Police Ferguson has provided additional information on the case including leading them to the whereabouts of Moxey’s backpack.  Rahming said, “we are satisfied that he has been able to direct us additionally into areas and directed us and we have been able to locate some physical evidence that has connected us to that particular scene.”

Ferguson appeared in the Magistrate’s Court on Monday clad in a blue pants and shirt.  He was charged with one count of murder, unlawful attention with intent to have unlawful sexual intercourse and unlawful sexual intercourse.  He was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until May 2025 when he is expected to return to court for a voluntary bill of indictment.
