Although the Marijuana legislation was passed in both houses of Parliament earlier this year, it has yet to be enacted.

Minister of National Security, the Hon.  Wayne Munroe recently gave an update on the status of the legislation.  He said, “the legislation is passed.  The steps they are taking to bring it into force, they’ve not been shared with me.  When it is a moment of bringing the full legislation into force I would be advised because that would be a document that would have to be laid but I’m not playing a part in that.”

The Minister said the management of the Marijuana legislation lies with the Ministers of Health, Agriculture and the Attorney General.”
