Nassau Village Shooting Leaves One Dead

Two males are assisting detectives with their investigations into a murder late last night.

The incident took place after 11:00pm Sunday on Jackson Street, Nassau Village.

Investigating officers reportedly met the victim lying face down on a porch in that neighborhood.

“Initial reports are that two men approached the residence where an argument ensued. One of the males produced a handgun and shot the victim,” Police Press Liaison Officer Audley Peters told ZNS News.

This latest incident comes only a day after two-year-old Da’Nyla Roberts was shot in Eleuthera.

Up to news time, the toddler was still fighting for her life in hospital.

Central and South Eleuthera Hank Johnson commended the swift action of the police and medical teams who assisted after the youngster was injured.
