The partially decomposed body of Omar Davis Jr. was found in the trunk of a car on August 16th by police. Normand Toussaint 20, of Culmerville has been charged before Chief Magistrate, Joyann Ferguson-Pratt, for Davis’ murder. Omar Davis’ mother, Gia Whymms and other members of his family were on hand for Toussaint’s arraignment. One of Davis’ aunts became visibly emotional as the charges were read.

Court documents state that on August 15th, while concerned with another, Toussaint intentionally and unlawfully caused the death of Omar Davis Jr. Toussaint was not required to enter a plea to the charges and was denied bail. He was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Corrections and is scheduled to return to court on December 27th. Toussaint is represented by Patrick Mackey.
