Members of the opposition returned to the House Of Assembly on Wednesday after serving a two sitting suspension for throwing the mace out of the window on December 4th, 2024.
Leader of the Opposition and Member of Parliament for Marco City, the Hon. Michael Pintard spoke with reporters outside of Parliament where lamented about statements on the action from the governing party. He said, “all of you have copies of the film and you know what the truth is and its rather unfortunate that such important voices would misrepresent the facts.”
Deputy Speaker and Member of Parliament for North Eleuthera, the Hon. Sylvanus Petty was injured during the ordeal. He told reporters that he hold no animosity toward his colleagues for the incident.
All of the opposition Members of Parliament were suspended except for former Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for Killarney, the Most Hon. Dr. Hubert Minnis.
