Former leader of the now defunct Democratic National Alliance (DNA), Branville McCartney appeared on The Rundown talk show this week where is spoke about politics in the country.
McCartney, who also served as a Cabinet Minister in the 2007-2012 Free National Movement (FNM) administration, told show host Clint Watson it would not be good if former Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Dr. Hubert Minnis does not receive a nomination for the next elections. He advised the FNM, “don’t be foolish and do things that will split the party or cause dissention within the party. You need to come together otherwise dog eat your lunch. Brave will have you for lunch.”
McCartney added, “if you gat some personal beef keep that to yourself. You need to try win an election. You would regret it if that does not happen.”
Dr. Minnis recently expressed to reporters his intention to run in the next general elections whether or not he receives a nomination from the FNM. McCartney, who publicly support Dr. Minnis in his bid for leadership of the FNM as its last convention maintained his support for him during the show.
McCartney also told host Clint Watson that he is not part of the FNM anymore and does not support it.
