Member of Parliament for Pinewood, the Hon. Myles Laroda held a Christmas celebration event in his constituency over the weekend. The hundreds of residents who attended the event were treated to food, drinks and Christmas gifts.
Laroda spoke to ZNS News on the sidelines of the event. He said, “the residents of Pinewood know it’s always a good occasion whether it be Christmas, whether it be Back To School, whether it be Easter, we always have community events. And so I’m not surprised on the turn out. I’m in the community five days a week so, you know, it’s good to see that individuals appreciate your effort. I believe that for you to be able to touch people you have to be around them and my constituents know that Monday thru Thursday, once I’m on the island or if the House is not in session I’m at my headquarters.”
Pinewood Resident, Raphael Rolle was thankful for the gesture. “If you look around and you look at the crowd everybody is enjoying themselves. I didn’t have anything to do today. I was home in the back of my yard just chilling then I got a phone call say come out here. Things so hard right now if you could get something, just get it, ya know.”
The event was held at Pinewood Gardens Park.
