Commissioner of Police, Shanta Knowles comments on reported that the man killed on Dunmore Street over the weekend was a victim of mistaken identity.
Knowles was fielding questions from reporters while appearing at a press conference at the Office of the Prime Minister on Monday. She said, “we’ve heard that but we have not confirmed that this point. When we are able to confirm that that person was not the intended target and we feel the need to bring that to the community we will certainly do so. But we are talking with that family to see what information we can get as it relates to him.”
The Commissioner added, “our officers from the homicide section are working this case along with all the other open cases to ensure that we can bring them to quick and speedy close but that we can get people before the courts for them.”
The murder victim is believed to be Quintero Arnett who was with his girlfriend and young daughter at the time of the shooting.
