Rand Hospital reports no issues with tent deflation

Severe weather impacting the Grand Bahama Health Services (GBHS) today. The partial deflation of a tent donated by Samaritan’s Purse occurred after torrential rain was experienced. No one was injured in the mishap as there were no occupants in the tent at the time. A previous incident in April this year forced the decommissioning of tents and subsequently staff were relocated to the Cancer Association Building and the Accident/Emergency Department. Measures are in place to facilitate mediation to breaches caused by severe weather conditions.

The public can be assured that the Grand Bahama Health Services continues to work together for the safety and well being of its staff and clients.
