One week after reopening, Sandals Emerald Bay will again temporarily close its doors on Wednesday.
Hotel officials blame this on the recent suspension of commercial flights from the United States due to increasing COVID-19 cases in The Bahamas.
The hotel’s website only notes that the resort’s reopening will be “announced soon with its New Providence property slated to welcome back guests on November 1st.
The decision has reportedly left 200-plus people temporarily out of work.
