Bahamasair’s response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Bahamasair wishes to notify the travelling public that our airline continues to monitor and respond to the growing situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19). The airline is committed to preserving the health and safety of both passengers and staff, by working closely with Ministry of Health officials, as well as industry leaders for updates and best practices.

National Arts Festival – Songs from Musicals and Movies

Students showcased their prowess with songs from musicals and movies, during the second day of the E. Clement Bethel National Arts Festival New Providence adjudications, at Holy Trinity Activity Centre, Stapledon Gardens, on March 10, 2020. From St. Andrew's International School, Samantha Sands showed her talent with "Burn" from "Hamilton"; Jayden Ward crooned "Fly Me to the Moon", which was made famous by Frank Sinatra and appeared in movies; Samantha Martinborough sang a song from "Legally Blonde"; Lauren Simms showed her range with "Love is a Plaintive Song" from Gilbert's and Sullivan's "Patience", and a song from "The Phantom of the Opera"; while C. H. Reeves student Nehemiah Genelus sang "She Used to be Mine" from "Waitress".

Primary School Singers Showcased on First Day of National Arts Festival...

Primary School students were the first singers showcasing their talent on the first day of the E. Clement Bethel National Arts Festival New Providence adjudications, held at the Holy Trinity Activity Centre, Stapledon Gardens, on March 9, 2020. Young soloists sang jazz, theatre and Broadway songs, while students from Queen's College and St. Andrew's International School performed as choirs.

Keva Cartwright, a customer service representative at Shell Montague station was named the 2019 Smiling Star C-Store Agent of the Year and Rodger Bullard of Shell Airport station was named the 2019 Smiling Star Forecourt Agent of the Year at a recent employee recognition ceremony hosted by Sun Oil Limited. “I am very excited and I thank God that I was chosen,” said Ms Cartwright upon receiving her award. “The opportunity to travel is much appreciated.

Royal Caribbean to host Job Fair at National Training Agency March...

Royal Caribbean International will host a two-day job fair at the National Training Agency on Gladstone Road to fill positions onboard ships and at its popular island destination – Perfect Day at Coco Cay in the Berry Islands. Prospective applicants are able to attend interviews on Thursday, March 12 from 9-11 am and 1-4 pm and Friday, March 13 from 9-12:00 pm. “The upcoming job fair is one in a series Royal Caribbean International has been hosting in The Bahamas as we seek Bahamian candidates who want to join our award-winning BEST in the industry brand,” said Cindy Williams-Johnson, Senior Manager, Global Talent Attraction, referring to the cruise line recently being named the best for the 16th consecutive year.
