Legislative Changes On Tap

The Financial Administration and Audit Act is among several pieces of legislation to be amended in the upcoming fiscal year The proposed change would require that all government authorities, companies and corporations that receive more than 50 per cent of their operating budget, produce and submit monthly and quarterly financial statements.

Budget Debate Opens

Debate on the 2021/2022 Budget opened in the House of Assembly today with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Peter Turnquest spending some time clearing up what he called misconceptions about how the government intends to put the country back on a path of economic recovery.
