Samaritan’s Purse COVID-19 care facility set to begin operations tomorrow

The field hospital which has a capacity for twenty (20) patients and is designed to specifically care for coronavirus positive patients is made up of seven tents, a temporary ambulance bay, male and female patient wards, with toilet facilities, donning/doffing areas for staff personal protective equipment (PPE), staff work areas, staff bathroom facilities and medical supplies.

Samaritan’s Purse, Setting Up the Tent Hospital at PMH

Samaritan’s Purse will work with PMH clinical staff to provide care to coronavirus positive patients. Clinical services are tentatively set to begin on Monday, October 19, for a period of three to six weeks, after which a transition from Samaritan’s Purse personnel to PMH clinical staff will occur.

Samaritan’s Purse to assist PMH in Management of COVID-19 Cases

The Public Hospitals Authority (PHA) and Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) getting a boost to its ongoing management of the COVID-19 pandemic through a partnership with the international NGO Samaritan’s Purse. The organization will set up a twenty (20) bed tent hospital at PMH to manage COVID-19 cases.
