A man lost his life in an accident on Friday night when he collided with a car while riding his motorcycle.  The incident occurred on Robinson Road and Key West Street.

Assistant Superintendent Of Police, Demetria Capron spoke with ZNS News about the rise of traffic fatalities.  She said, “this is the height of the Christmas season and so we just want to make sure that persons slow down on the road.  We know that speed thrills but it also kills.  And with over 60 person losing their lives in car crashes this year we just want to minimize that by our presence out here as we go into the height of the Christmas season.  We know that its the holly jolly season and there’s going to be a lot of parties, there’s going to be a lot of work parties and socials coming up and we want persons to reach to their destinations safely.  So we know that where alcohol is going to be consumed we want persons to have a designated driver.  We want to you not drink and drive and we also don’t want you to drink and then drive.  We want you to drive with care for other road users, pedestrians, motorcyclists.  We want you to obey the red traffic light. It is not a suggestion, it is the law.”
