The Urban Renewal Authority Act was passed in Parliament in 2024. On February 17th, the Authority will be officially launched.

Urban Renewal Co-Chair, Algernon Allen told ZNS News the legislation means that government has accepted that Urban Renewal and the pursuits of nation building through our neighbourhoods is critical to national development. He said, “we have turned full circle to assure that at the end of the day we touch all lives with the power and the love, I use that word, the love of Urban Renewal.
