The Fox group is set to develop a $300 million hotel property on Voir Beach and Balmoral Island. President of the Fox Group of Companies, Adrian Fox shared his excitement while attending the Heads of Agreement signing for his new resort venture at the Office of the Prime Minister of Thursday.
Fox said, “it’s amazing to know that now that I could say that we’re gonna build our own hotel. You know it shows that no matter where you born in the world you could accomplish whatever you want.”
Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis was also on hand at the signing. During his remarks his spoke about what is expected when the project is complete. He said, “guests and residents will enjoy restaurants, rooftop pools, a recording studio, a night club, a spa and a seaside bar and jetty.”
The Prime Minister also spoke to this project assisting in addressing the shortage of hotel rooms in the country. He said, “the demand for hotel rooms far outstrip the supply we have and so any additional rooms, wherever they may be situated, is a welcomed addition to the tourism product.”
Fox Group Vice President, Adrianna Fox explained their vision for the former Cable Beach Manor where the new development will be constructed. “We’re gonna put marine encounters, adventures activities, ziplining, beach club. And with is doing this project we will be able to have over 1,000 jobs in construction and after construction 700 to 1000 employees.”
Fox says that there will be some kind of feature on the island by June this year. “Even if it’s just marine encounter and ziplining.”
Adrian Fox told reporters the property was purchased at a cost of $15 million, construction will cost $400 per square foot and the government has agreed to lease the island for this development for 21 years.”
A groundbreaking on the hotel is expected in 2026.
