On Tuesday, 15th March 2022, at approximately 9:21 am, a Bahamasair chartered flight departed Freeport, Grand Bahama bound for Port-au-Prince, Haiti transporting a total of one hundred twenty-three (123) Haitian nationals onboard. Fifty (50) adult males, thirty-four (34) adult females, and thirty-nine (39) minors were among this group.
This escort was conducted by the Department’s deportation team following all COVID-19 protocols as the health, welfare, and safety of our officers, law enforcement counterparts, and migrants remain of utmost importance in this COVID-19 environment.
