On Friday, 6th May 2022, at approximately 12:20PM a Bahamasair chartered flight departed New Providence for Port-au-Prince, Haiti with one hundred thirty-one (131) Haitian nationals onboard;ninety-four (94) males and fifteen (15) females and twenty-two (22) minors were among the group.
The Department’s Deportation Unit led this escort with all COVID-19 protocols strictly observed as the health, welfare, and safety of our officers, law enforcement counterparts, and migrants remain the highest priority.
