During a press conference held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, the High Rock Seafest Committee in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Investments and Aviation (MOTIA), announced plans for the 19th annual High Rock Seafest.
The event is set to take place on Monday, August 4, from 11:00am until at High Rock School Grounds.
Leyland Laing, Seafest public relations officer, highlighted the exciting lineup of live performances by Stevie S., Wilfred Solomon, Top-Tier Band, a Junkanoo rush out by New Generation group, and a special showcase by the Police K9-unit .
Residents and visitors can also look forward to a fun-filled day of traditional games and competitions.
The Ministry of Tourism will provide bus transportation for guests from hotels in the Freeport area, with pick-up scheduled for 1:00pm and return at 6:00pm.
Senator James Turner, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “August 4th is going to be another milestone on Grand Bahama Island, especially for East Grand Bahama.”
He also noted that attendees will have the chance to savour a variety of Bahamian delicacies including conch fritters, fried fish, conch salad and more!
