Award-winning Bahamian Brewery and Beverage Company launched Bush Crack Light (BCL), a new Light Beer made by Bahamians for Bahamians with the slogan Work Hard, Drink Easy. Bahamian Brewery’s General Manager, Gary Sands said “We wanted to create another light beer because we felt the market needed some more options in this category. We picked Bush Crack because it’s already an established brand in the market that our customers love, and we wanted to expand on that base.”

The Truly Bahamian company has been making locally made brands and brews that consumers locally and internationally have come to love. Bush Crack Light was created with Bahamians in mind and priced for the average hard-working consumer at 3 for $6.50. Blue Collar workers, Tradesmen, Labourers and all Bahamians who work hard every day, deserve an easy-to-drink beer that won’t break their routine or pocket. Bush Crack Light was designed for those hard-working consumers who want a beer they can enjoy any time of the day no matter what their budget is, that will cool them down in the hot Bahamian sun, quench their thirst, relieve fatigue and even be a decompression for workers. Bush Crack Light is distributed by Jimmy’s Wines & Spirits and can be found in any Jimmy’s and any of your favourite liquor stores throughout the country.

Launched the same week that Hurricane Nicole brushed through Grand Bahama & Abaco, Bush Crack Light has the same strength and resilience as the brewery it was produced. BCL is the first new Bahamian Brewery product since the brewery was rebuilt after Hurricane Dorian. Gary Sands expressed “We had plans for Bush Crack Light in 2019.

This product has been in the works for quite some time but Hurricane Dorian was a major setback with the immediate follow-up of Covid which restricted us in a major way in launching our core brands Sands and Sands Light.”

“We are very proud and excited to be here today with all the setbacks that we faced” the GM continued. “Jimmy Sands, our President and CEO, never gave up on Bahamian Brewery and Beverage Company and Jimmy’s Wines & Spirits. With his determining spirit, dedication to the staff and the commitments he’s made, that same attitude and spirit have been instilled in all of us that work here. We are proud Bahamians that produce exceptional beer. We are all family here at The Brewery and Jimmy’s Wines & Spirits and these principles are what keep us together.”

Last week BCL held a simultaneous broadcast in Nassau and Freeport from the Brewery, to introduce the new product to the Bahamas and to introduce Bush Crack Light Thirsty Thursdays at Jimmy’s Wines & Spirits for the next three months. Local Radio Celebrities JJ, Erin Reign, Special K, Kirk Smith and Daddy Steelie all came out to support the launch of the new light beer.

The Bush Crack Light team will be hitting the road with FREE sampling during BCL Thirsty Thursdays ending with more sampling at a Jimmy’s Wines & Spirits location. Look out for the Bush Crack Light Bus driving around Nassau, Freeport & Abaco coming to the relief of all the hard-working men & women of the Bahamas.
