Members of Eta Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. held its 47th Annual Honors Day Awards Ceremony on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the Balmoral Club.
The event honored over 40 female students of various schools throughout The Bahamas, awarding them with academic scholarships from various colleges and universities abroad.
In attendance at the event were Minister of Education and Technical & Vocational Training the Hon. Glenys Hanna-Martin and Mrs. Ann Marie Davis of the Office of the Spouse of the Prime Minister. In her speech, Minister Hanna-Martin praised the young recipients for taking their education seriously, and declared them a prime example of the outcome of when young Bahamian ladies take initiative in “getting their act together.”
