Bahamas Power and Light has taken on 40 apprentices for it’s craftsman programme.
Chief Executive Officer Shevonn Cambridge spoke about the programme saying, “those who excel are then moved on another two years to become full fledged technicians. And then the high flyers out of that group are actually selected, some of them are selected to become engineers. So they go on to do another two years to get the full tertiary degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.”
