Bahamas Power and Light (BPL) has completed a streetlight installation exercise on the island of Abaco. BPL Chief Operating Officer, Anthony Christie recently spoke with reporters about the initiative.
He said, “we’d have gotten funding, we have many streetlights for family islands, New Providence that have been dispatched, more than enough to cover the site. So there was exercises to date that would have completed installation in many places.”
Christie assured that streetlighting is being actively addressed. “I just came from a warehouse today where we had enough streetlights to cover many areas and they’re going to be dispatched as needed. If there is a concern or we do have an issue that streetlight will be replaced for sure.”
