herbs in traditional wellness practices. Jade Sands of Soil Sista and Nicholas Fox II of Soul
and Soil Composting also led live demonstrations, showcasing sustainable soil practices and
highlighting the importance of environmental stewardship.
The annual event is spearheaded and funded by BTC CEO, Sameer Bhatti who also serves
as a Director on the One Eleuthera Foundation board. This year, his daughter, Saadiya
Bhatti took the lead organizing the event, spending her spring break touring the farms
throughout Eleuthera, capturing their stories of dedication, resilience, and passion for
agriculture. Sameer and Saadiya are joined by Dr. Tricia Bhatti, wife and mother,
respectively, in their commitment to the health and vitality of Team BTC.
Sameer Bhatti, CEO of BTC, stated, “The annual CEO’s Easter Farmers Market is more
than just a celebration of Easter—it is a reflection of our values as a company. We are
dedicated to supporting our employees’ health and well-being while also strengthening our
connection to local communities and producers. Seeing our teams engage with the market,
learn about sustainable practices, and enjoy fresh, locally grown foods bring immense pride.
Initiatives like this demonstrate how small, meaningful actions can create a lasting impact on
both our employees and the wider community.”
Keyron Smith, President & Chief Executive Officer of the One Eleuthera Foundation,
expressed, “Sameer, his family, and BTC have consistently been instrumental partners of
the One Eleuthera Foundation. His longstanding passion for agriculture and deep commitment to community development across the island have made a meaningful impact.
When our vision aligned with his, he recognized it as a powerful opportunity to invest back into The Bahamas. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to BTC for their continued
support and dedication to our mission.”
Angel Adderley, BTC B2B Account Manager, shared, “My heart is truly full. Each year, your
gifts are received with deep gratitude, but this year was exceptional. Beyond the abundance
of fresh crops, the knowledge shared reignited my passion for sustainable living and growing
what we consume—an invaluable gift. The entire experience was warm, intentional, and
unforgettable.’”
The CEO’s Easter Farmers Market began as an initiative to promote wellness and has
grown into a highly anticipated annual tradition. From hosting the first farmers market in New
Providence to engaging directly with team members in Grand Bahama during the second
farmers market, BTC’s commitment to community and employee engagement remains
unwavering.
“This event brings together several key pillars that we champion as a company—health,
sustainability, local support, and team connection,” added Bhatti. “It’s about celebrating the
richness of Bahamian produce, encouraging healthier lifestyles, and fostering moments of
togetherness that strengthen our BTC family.”
