Cable Bahamas released a statement defending the disconnection of the ZNS broadcast of the 2022 Boxing Day Junkanoo Parade. Cable Bahamas says that ZNS breached the terms and conditions set forth for the broadcast of the parade. They also expressed their disappointment at the allegations of wrongdoing on their part levied by the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas.

Cable went on to explain that due to the breach Cable customers on four islands: New Providence, Grand Bahama, Abaco and Eleuthera were directed to watch the live broadcast on Cable channel 212 for a limited period. Cable Bahamas says that action was not an anti competitive tactic.

Chairman of the Broadcasting Corporation has said that ZNS will seek legal redress and to recoup costs in the wake of the incident.
