Crystal-clear waters, hundreds of boats, thousands of visitors, and an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in The Bahamas came together once again as Cheeseburger in Paradise returned to Green Turtle Cay. Among the event’s proud supporters was the iconic Sands Beer which served as the exclusive beer at the
event and sponsor too, helping make one of Abaco’s most anticipated annual community celebrations another outstanding success.

Held against the picturesque backdrop of Fiddle Cay, Cheeseburger in Paradise has become far more than a summer party. Each year, hundreds of boats and thousands of visitors make their way to the tiny island for a day filled with fresh cheeseburgers, live entertainment, tropical cocktails, and island hospitality, all while raising funds that are reinvested into community projects throughout Green Turtle Cay.
“Last year we raised a little over $100,000 through donations and sponsorships, and we’re proud of what this event continues to accomplish for our community,” said Cheeseburger in Paradise Committee Board Member, Chamon McIntosh, “Sands was the exclusive beer on the beach this year, and people absolutely loved it. We had close to 2,500 people attend, and everyone was excited to see Sands there. We’re hopeful this partnership will continue for many years because it has been a great fit for the event.”
As the country’s truly Bahamian beer, Sands has become a familiar presence at many of the nation’s signature events, creating opportunities for residents and visitors alike to gather, celebrate, and enjoy authentic island experiences.
Cheeseburger in Paradise is a perfect example of that spirit. What began as a local fundraiser has grown into one of Abaco’s signature annual gatherings, attracting an mix of yachts, sailboats, catamarans, and pleasure boats that anchor offshore as guests come together for a day of music, food, fellowship, and philanthropy.
“Great events are built through collaboration,” added Smith. “When local organizers, volunteers, sponsors, businesses, and residents all work toward a common goal, the result is something truly special. We’re honoured that Sands Beer could once again be part of an event that not only creates lasting memories but also gives back to the Green Turtle Cay community.”
