Nassau, Bahamas – December 16th, 2024 Christopher Neely was recognized as BTC’s Technical Operations Employee of the Year at the third annual C&W Communications Tech Ops Awards. Technicians are the backbone of C&W Communications, bravely navigating hurricanes and natural disasters to keep the organization thriving.
At the awards, we celebrated the outstanding employees in the Technical Operations department who have exemplified our values and delivered remarkable work throughout the year. These individuals were recognized for their technical proficiency, innovative problem-solving, team collaboration, and commitment to our culture.
With over 1,200 employees present, we honored the technicians for their unwavering dedication and exceptional service over the past 12 months.
Director of Technical Operations, Drexel Woods congratulated all seven members of the BTC tech team that were recognized. Ultimately, Christopher Neely who is a Core Network Maintenance Technician walked away with the employee of the year award for The Bahamas. Woods described Neely as extremely passionate about the network and the quality of service that we deliver to our customers. He said, “Chris is always quick to offer support to stakeholders. His proven track record of fostering healthy collaborative relationships with colleagues speaks volumes about his solid team player status.”
The other local awardees are Gladys Brave, who was recognized as Best B2B I/R Tech, Brandon Pickering, Best B2C I/R Tech, Terrence Russell, Best Field Maintenance Tech for Mobile Networks, Bertram Miller, Best Field Maintenance Tech, Outside Plant Fixed Networks, Latoya Cooper, Best Back Office Support, Project Management Office, and Shavan Russell, Best Tier 2 Tech Support.
Of the forty awardees across the Caribbean, Hemraj Baal of Trinidad and Tobago copped the Technical Operations Employee of Year Award for 2024. For C&W.
